♫ I has a shiny jewel ♫

I was browsing the site and I came to realize that there was no topic anywhere that discussed turtles. So I decided to start one. So, yes. Turtles. Turtles are cool.

Here is a picture of a turtle wearing another turtle as a hat.

I notice that the big turtle has much larger scales than the smaller turtle. This is probably because of the overall difference in size. I think the two turtles are different species, because the smaller turtle is much too cute to be a baby turtle of the larger turtle's species. The larger turtle has a wrinkly neck. I hope my neck is never that wrinkly. I think I wouldn't mind wearing a turtle as a hat, though, provided the turtle was okay with it.

Yes.

Turtles are great for characters in cartoons and such, but in reality, they're pretty boring and slow. They hardly do much, but they are kinda cool looking, especially their shells. My teacher once brought her tortoise to school (don't ask me how she got away with it) and we rode on it. Felt kinda funny, but it made me want to jump on some Koopa Troopas. I also had a small pet turtle once named Crash (Finding Nemo reference). I named him Crash because he always crashed into the sides of his habitat. Unfortunately that's also how he lost his life. Ironic, no?

"Turtles are reptiles of the order Testudines (the crown group of the superorder Chelonia), characterised by a special bony or cartilaginous shell developed from their ribs that acts as a shield. "Turtle" may either refer to the Testudines as a whole, or to particular Testudines which make up a form taxon that is not monophyletic—see also sea turtle, terrapin, tortoise, and the discussion below." - Wikipedia

I like raspberries, which is why I have to be careful not to eat turtles by accident.

The method that I normally use for determining whether or not the small object I am about to eat is a turtle or a raspberry is to check whether the object is colored like a raspberry. If the object is not colored like a raspberry, or if I suspect that the object may be a raspberry-colored turtle, I check to see whether the object is moving or able to move. If it is not moving, I conclude that it must be a raspberry. If it is able to move, I conclude that it is either a turtle or a living, moving raspberry, both of which I consider unappetizing. At that point, I let the turtle/raspberry free to roam outside, and then lock all the windows and bar the doors. Then I eat the remaining raspberries.
