I tend to go with the theory there are purple wobblies living in my walls who have rum addiction problems and is also the reason the floor doesn't stay still when said rum is gone. though of course i could juts have easily said the low flying mountains were involved but that would have mean i would some how have to explain how they managed to get here through london traffic

The rum is gone because Caribbean and South American countries which previously grew the sugarcane necessary to produce rum have convert to high energy grasses for ethanol production. Thus, there is less sugarcane to create rum leading to lower rum supply and, subsequently higher rum prices. Therefore, the rum is more likely to be gone than usual.
