The site's main function hasn't been touched, it's a furry community forum and it's running fine.
At the moment I have another new system uploaded ready to install and modify and test out however I have to travel again this weekend so I'm not going to get chance. At the moment I still have all the files backed up to locations on my home computers and what I intend to do is delegate the job of sorting them out because I'm too overloaded to do it myself and it's not getting done.

I'll prod some staff for that and see what can be done there because it's a simple enough job just time consuming. At the moment as there's still no found upload solution (though this next one is at least hopeful) there isn't any estimate of when we'll have a working downloads section and until I've discussed with staff about who else can take over sorting the files we have there's no estimate for those either yet.

I am a patient person but I collapse without structure. When there is a rough ETA on the new downloads section please let us know. I have been intrigued ever since I realised such a place existed. lol

The files we have have now been renamed and fixed up to the best of my knowledge so... I can't pass on an ETA for them until I have them all in my possession and know roughly how long it takes to input a file... When i do i will work it out and news announce and probably tweet it because at that point it wont be long.

Yes, thanks to our moderator Cy The Bat the files are all successfully named and linked to descriptions and it's now fallen back into my paws to get them uploaded and plugged into the downloads system.

This gives us an ETA, provided there are no serious hiccups motivation failures or other distractions, of around about the end of this week!
That means all the files we have will be available for download again, however... (There's always a but) ... This does not include getting the upload system working, and for the sake of my own fur I'm praying to god my hunch works and I can fix that once I've done this. Oh, and just another note, as I don't sleep or work to any kind of regular pattern when I say week I mean 'week' not working week by Friday though the lack of a sleeping pattern might mean it's done before then anyway. I have no problems with being ahead of schedule and I'm sure you don't either.

Can I also add, if you do happen across a typo or a broken link (Which is basically the same thing in a different place), report it helpfully don't whine and grumble about it.

As far as this part goes with the uploading, easy but very time consuming.

When you consider I have to get the thing plugged in and working with the themes and permissions and then fix the member  groups to have the right permissions for it... It's lots of PHP and mySQL and it still doesn't work. It still doesn't pick up the size of a file so you don't know how big your download is and the upload system still doesn't work at all and I'm probably going to need a completely separate system I've found to handle that which I will then need to mesh into the forum AND the downloads system and as it is at the moment it has nothing to control permissions on it it's just there, I will need to write from scratch the code to control permissions on it by member group...

For me at least this is tough stuff anyway, there's a lot to it...

Yes this is it! All the files contained in the downloads are back and available for download once more and on schedule! (Not the first schedule we had but, on a schedule!)

Thanks greatly to Cy for arranging all the file names and writing and gathering descriptions for us, now obviously if you spot a type or an error in the downloads or a broken link somewhere, please tell us. Constructive criticism is greatly appreciated.

Some important notes to mention are, file creators are in charge of their own files so they can edit the downloads and descriptions themselves and I don't know if they've realised this yet. Also this is the downloads section complete and functional once more, the saga with upload still continues. Well, at least it can continue now, I was somewhat focusing my efforts...
